The 10 Fair Information Principles
VeriGuest is engineered to automate and verify compliance with every core pillar of Canadian federal privacy law.
1. Accountability
VeriGuest provides dedicated administrative portals where your Privacy Officer can audit system access and manage data flows globally.
2. Identifying Purposes
Purposes for data collection (e.g., Security, Health Screening) are explicitly stated at the point of entry on the tablet interface.
3. Consent
VeriGuest uses granular, opt-in consent forms. Visitors must actively accept privacy terms before their sign-in can proceed.
4. Limiting Collection
Data minimization is enforced. We only collect essential fields (Name, Host, Time-In) unless additional fields are explicitly requested for safety audits.
5. Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention
VeriGuest features automated retention scripts. Data is permanently purged or anonymized after 1 year (365 days) of inactivity.
